Last night I found a new friend. A tiny scrap of starlit fur, she was staring down cats much larger than herself. Naturally the felines left as soon as Sirius came to play.

I brought her home, bathed the wee thing and have named her. Asteria, after my mother. A suitable name, I think. According to the Internet (currently having a fit over some pop singer), she is a white shepherd. Sirius and little Asteria are currently engaged in a battle of wills, so I must go minimize damages.

Ever so much drama and angst about Cronus' prank. Nothing really has changed, except that it seems that I find all women attractive. So indiscriminate, that is. Pity he never learned patience in Tartarus. I would teach him that virtue.

Now I do have issues with finding my assistant attractive. She never bathes in anything that isn't patchouli. A girl should have some standards, even if one isn't Aphrodite.

My lord and lady, I have news of a disturbing nature.

Eos has arrived and I fear she's entered your home and taken pictures of Hades in the shower. I believe she is also a student of his? She found a key left above the door. I have taken matters into my hands and removed the key to a safer location.

I do not have the pictures in my possession, though I can rectify that situation.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word

Mmm. quite appropriate, I think. I was once the equal of Zeus in powers, gifted with the power to grant anything my worshipers desired. Now, I am but a shadow of myself, stalked by the lost souls. My name is used in twisted rituals, and my worship is from those who name themselves after animals and metals.

Bah. The dead were grateful to be guided. The living is much more difficult.

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

And Cronus' little curse is rather petty. He lacks in imagination.

I allowed a little coven of 'witches' as they called themselves, babbling such things as rule of three and other such inanities to use my extra store room. I fear they will not be allowed to return.

They dared invoke my name in a ceremony. They wished to summon me. Oh I did answer their call. I am without my usual powers, but it was an easy thing to call my companions to me, both living and dead. Oh the screams of terror were so sweet, I've not heard such since my metaphorical fall. And such a rush for the door. Sirius gave a masterful performance.

Such foolish mortals. They have chosen the wrong way to request my presence. Disregarding my temporary mortality, they used the wrong ritual and completely wrong pantheon. I do not wish to rub elbows with gods from whatever cultures those mortals think are interesting.

Perhaps the living need to tell lies, to hide, for they fear being judged not in the afterlife, but while still on the mortal plane.

It'll all come out when one dies, so why worry now? Truth never really hurt anyone for long, and if it does? well then, one would need a reality check, I believe.

The moon is full again, and my companions have fled Selene's face. The mortals have nearly conquered the night, attempting to bring Helios back from his slumber with their love for the artificial torches and lamps.

Sirius lopes alongside me, as is his wont. It feels right to have something of home with me, even though we are fallen far from grace.

Work today was mundane. So many 'Wiccans' as they call themselves invoke my name for their spells, and yet they do not detect that the shopkeeper was their Goddess.
